The 57th Kingsville Migration Festival took place on the October 17-18 weekend with numerous events taking place throughout the town.
The weekend got started on Thursday, October 15 with an en plein air exhibition with local artists painting outdoors in various spots around Kingsville. That competition wrapped up Sunday at the Grovedale with a show and sale of the artists’ works.

A kick-off event was held at the Grovedale on Friday evening featuring live entertainment and refreshments.
The annual Migration Festival Parade took on a different look this year with the entire parade contained within Lakeside Park as opposed to making its way down the main streets on Saturday morning. That was accompanied by a vendors’ market inside the pavilion and activities for families down in the lower bowl of the park.

Meanwhile, out at Jack Miner Bird Sanctuary, Saturday and Sunday were filled with children’s activities, vendors, live entertainment and Sunday’s big car show. A pancake breakfast highlighted Sunday morning’s schedule, as well as a visit from the Canadian Raptor Conservatory, who put on shows throughout Sunday.
