Despite a questionable forecast and a Thursday night glitch, the Wheatley Fish Festival enjoyed perfect weather and no interruption to make for a fantastic weekend for all.
From Friday’s opening at Two Creeks to Sunday night’s fireworks, the weekend went off without a hitch.
The Fish Festival committee was visible and engaged in all aspects of the weekend and made sure there were plenty of activities and events for all ages to enjoy.
Hundreds enjoyed the Friday evening concerts, while even more packed the harbour on Saturday morning.
Saturday’s popular fish and chicken dinner dance and Sunday’s parade and car show had people talking about Wheatley’s resilience and ability to put on such a celebration.
