Concertgoers thoroughly enjoyed an evening of Celtic-inspired music on Saturday, July 11 at the Sunset Amphitheatre at Seacliff Park.
The free outdoor concert featured opening performer Andrew MacLeod, followed by Mary Frances Leahy performing with her full band.
Singer-songwriter Andrew MacLeod draws on the storytelling traditions of his Cape Breton roots and the industrial spirit of Windsor and Detroit. He is known for his gritty vocals, thoughtful songwriting, and dynamic stage presence.
Mary Frances Leahy is a gifted fiddler, pianist, dancer and vocalist who has been captivating audiences since childhood. The daughter of Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy, she blends her Celtic roots with musical influences from Latin America and beyond.
The evening was part of the Music Onthe42 Summer Concert Series offering free musical entertainment on Saturday evenings at the Sunset Amphitheatre at Seacliff Park. The Saturday, July 18 concert will present openers The 519 Band at 7:30 p.m., followed by headliner Rick LaBonte & Band of Brothers at 8:30.
