U13 stars win in Etobicoke

The U13 Southpoint Stars are the Etobicoke Dolphins Pink the Rink Tournament Champions.

The team entered the weekend with one goal in mind, to bring home the championship title and delivered an outstanding performance, finishing undefeated in round-robin play before winning both playoff games and the championship final.

The Stars opened the tournament with a 3-1 victory over the Sudbury Lady Wolves, followed by a 2-0 win against the Ancaster Avalanche and an impressive 6-1 victory over the Barrie Sharks, securing first place in their pool.

The quarter-finals brought a crossover matchup against the second-place team from Pool A, the Mount Forest Rams. The Stars battled hard in a physical game, earning a 3-1 win to advance to the semi-finals. There, they faced the East Ottawa Stars and secured another strong victory, winning 4-1.

In the championship game, Southpoint met the Ottawa Valley Thunder and rose to the occasion once again, capturing the tournament title with a 3-1 win.
