The Solcz Family Foundation is marking its 10th anniversary as a foundation with a transformational $1 million donation to The Bridge Youth Resource Centre, providing critical operational support as the organization completes its ambitious 50-home housing initiative in Leamington.
The significant gift reflects the Solcz Family Foundation’s decade-long commitment to improving the welfare of the Windsor-Essex community with a focus on supporting projects and programs that provide opportunities for children, youth and families. The gift is represented in the renaming of the Resource Centre to ‘The Solcz Family Foundation Centre for Youth Development’.
For The Bridge, the funding comes at a pivotal time. The organization is in the midst of completing a 50-home mixed-income housing project designed to provide safe, stable and affordable housing for youth and members of the broader community. While this capital project represents an important investment in the future of the organization, its scale has also created a significant need to bridge the gap in operational funding while construction is completed.
